About WBBS | Ruth (Steffaniak)

Meeting Day/Time for the Fall Semester: Wednesdays, 6:30-8:15 p.m. Will resume meeting weekly on August 27, 2025

Have you ever felt battered by the challenges or losses of life? Maybe, today, you are bone-weary and tired of wondering if God will ever answer your prayers. Wondering if Jesus will ever redeem the troubles you’re experiencing or the messes you’ve made.

If you’ve ever been in these hopeless places, and who hasn’t? Then, Uncovering the Redeemer—a WORTHY Bible study in the Book of Ruth—will take you on an inspiring, clarifying, and faith-renewing journey.

In this 8-week study, Beth uses three distinct but interrelated lenses as she examines the Book of Ruth. The first lens takes a close-up look at how God provided a kinsman-redeemer for Ruth, redeeming the losses in her life and marriage as well as the life and legacy of her mother-in-law, Naomi. A second lens is then laid on top of the first as Beth guides the reader to look in these Scriptures for Jesus and the hope He brings. In this way, our quest mirrors the game “Where’s Waldo?” Only, our question this time is, “Where’s Jesus?!” Beth then encourages us to take a deeper look at where Jesus, the Redeemer, is showing up in our personal stories. As we do, we gain hope and insight into the redemptive work Jesus is currently doing through our losses and pain.

In this group and study, you will not only learn more about Christ's redemption but also learn a Bible study method that incorporates worship, observation, gleaning for truths, application, prayer, and meditative reliance.

Childcare is available upon request.
